With lack of work in the winter for some Ibiza residents, tourists that splash the cash before the end of their holiday, or seasonal workers that forgot to budget, don’t worry. There are lots of ways to enjoy Ibiza, by spending very little or nothing at all!

Outdoor fun

With a partner, friends or children, a picnic is great for a day out, whether it’s at the beach or park. There are many beaches in Ibiza, so if you fancy a family-friendly beach, San Vicente is popular, with fun activities taking place.

You could challenge your neighbours/friends to a ball game, collect shells, make sandcastles, have a swim in the sea / community pools.

If you’re after a more chilled out vibe, Pinet Playa is perfect, playing old school Reggae classics that you may have grown up listening to.

Mud baths can also be enjoyed at Aguas Blancas, however be prepared, it’s popular amongst nudists.

If you fancy a different scene, a gorgeous beach and boutique shops, Santa Eulalia is one of many nice towns to spend the day.

You could spend the afternoon at a playground. Or take advantage of the exercise apparatus at an exercise park.

Bike riding, roller-skating, even hiking in the hills can be fun.

Review event listings online; see what’s happening in the community, many activities are free, especially for celebrations, the Spanish love a good party.

Browse market stalls.

Buy a drink and receive tapas’ for free whilst reading the paper.

You could download a free eBook from Amazon, settle on the terrace with a cool drink at a restaurant, the beach, or poolside. Even visit a local library, or church.

And the best thing of all, is to watch the sunset on the rocks near Café Del Mar. Bliss!

 

Sightseeing

The best thing about Ibiza is the choice of towns and different beaches, so sightseeing is always a pleasure. Each town contains old buildings, Spanish traditional buildings, and beautiful churches. Not to mention the castle in Ibiza town which boasts a stunning view.

Whether you visit San Antonio, Ibiza town, Sant Josep, Portinatx, San Vicente or wherever, there’s always so much to do.

Get in the car or bus, and see where the open road takes you. Ibiza is full of surprises; you will almost always find or see something new.

Es Vedra, a famous landmark in the sea is a breathtaking sight, truly memorable.

Apparently, the lovelock bridge in Santa Eulalia is a new tradition, being popular amongst cities such as London, New York, Paris etc, it’s worth visiting.

Indoor fun

Girls – a relaxing pampering day is always a hit: nice hot bath, conditioning hair mask in, pretty painted nails. You could watch YouTube tutorials: exercise/dance videos, hair, make-up or cooking tutorials.

Men, you can’t go wrong with watching a film with friends, playing the playstation, or a game of cards.

And lastly

It’s Ibiza, and they happen every single day without fail somewhere. You could always go and gatecrash a party!
